This Privacy Policy explains what information PondPlay ("we", "us") collects when you visit pondplay.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

PondPlay does not require an account and does not ask you to enter personal information to play games. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses or payment details. The information that is collected automatically falls into the following categories:

• Usage data: pages visited, games played, approximate time on page, referring site, browser type, device type, screen size and language. This is collected through Google Analytics and is aggregated.
• Cookies and similar identifiers: small files stored by your browser that help us recognize returning visits and allow advertising partners to serve and measure ads.
• Local storage: some of our own games save progress, settings or your best score in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share a link.
• Site preferences: your recently played list and theme setting are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to our servers. You can remove them at any time with the "Clear all" link on the home page or by clearing your browser data.
• Contact messages: if you email us, we keep the message and your email address only to reply to you.

2. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertising on our pages. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads, or at https://www.aboutads.info for other vendors.

Games from third-party catalogs are embedded in an iframe served by their publisher. The publisher may display its own advertising and apply its own privacy policy inside that frame. We do not control those services.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand which games and pages are popular. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms. You can prevent analytics collection by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking third-party scripts.

4. How we use information

We use the data described above only to:

• Operate the site and keep games working across browsers and devices.
• Understand which content is popular so we can decide what to build next.
• Serve advertising that funds the site.
• Respond to messages you send us.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers named above (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and the publishers of embedded games), each of which processes data under its own policy, and when required by law.

6. Children

PondPlay is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your choices and rights

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
